Westpac OpenAir Sydney is a seasonal open-air cinema hosted at Mrs Macquaries Point in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. The site sits on the edge of Sydney Harbour with direct views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It is a temporary outdoor screening venue rather than a permanent multiplex: a temporary screen is erected with lawn and deckchair seating, food stalls, licensed bars and picnic-style facilities. Programming typically features recent releases, popular films, classics and family sessions. Events run seasonally, mainly in the warmer months and evenings; visitors are advised to dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. As a pop-up event space it does not offer fixed premium formats like IMAX, but benefits from a spectacular harbourfront setting and basic accessible paths within the gardens.
